silas favorite websites – StumbleUpon

http://sila.stumbleupon.com/

very interesting person, had views with a different slant. Said she was an English expatriot now living in Ticino, Switzerland. Wow. But her absence is coming up to a one year anniversary. In past postings, the devs said that a year’s inactivity is the timeframe for them to consider zapping an abandoned SU account.

She had good sites and interesting comments. A tinge of semi-paranoia had her fretyting about people “piggy-backing” on her, or using her pictures without giving her credit. She even said an internet account was usurped away from under her elsewhere. Oh well, I hope she’s at peace where ever in the internet she’s now surfing.

Sila, the Asbestos was not “from years of working in film and audio studios..” It was because, as a race car driver, ol’ Steve wrapped an asbestos scarf around his face for ‘safety’, in case of a fiery crash. Thats how he got so many asbestos fibers as reported. But I liked him a lot too, great actor eh Sila? Uhm, Sila? (empty echo, only crickets chirping)

Random Humor and Commentary
Pretty random alright, short list and a lot of the stuff here has been thumbed up in other web sites. But its a good humor depository of sorts.

Hoover Institution Archives Firing Line Television Program Collection

Firing Line. It was a great program. Buckley was one of a kind. They don’t do journalism and interviews like they used to.

Seems to be an honest and passionate Christian man. Not that we agree politically, but you have to respect a thinking man with heart. It shows too on his great “About” page, especially about his top-likes which include Conversations with 6 Year Olds 2 A Cold Beer on a Hot Day 3 A Hot Woman on Cold Nights( My Wife) 1

Underage sex link to media | Mail Online

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=380662&in_page_id=1770

From the page: “Children exposed to sex in TV programmes, films, magazines and music are more likely to engage in sexual activity than those who are not, according to research out today.

There is a direct relationship between the amount of sexual content a child sees and their level of sexual activity or their intentions to have sex in the future, the study found.

Such media also has at least an equal influence on sexual behaviour as religion or a child’s relationship with their parents and peers, the study said.

It concluded that the media is an “important source” of information about sex for teenagers who might not get advice elsewhere.

Well, duhuh… why you think the fag loving humanist secular pinko’s made it a point to take over the airwaves? They take over tv, they take over your kid’s mind, maybe yours too.

What used to be correctly considered outrageous, egregious, and downright filthy is now called funny, natural, even downright recommendable. Yet folks that otherwise know better still put up with tv for themselves and their kids. They’ll reap what they let the humanist God-hating servants of sin sow into our minds via tv and other medium.

Why do I say Bush and most of the media creation known as the “Religious Right” is anything but Christian, Conservative or pro-Constitution? Because as the Bible says, you judge anything and anyone by its fruit, especially claimants to Christianity. Not just what they say, or the limited social issues they grasp onto for publicity and to polarize the sheeple. Judge them by whether they follow the Word of God, and note how they seek limelight, fame and the praise of men.

Judge a politician by how he respects the Constitution, especially in times of crisis.

Judge a conservative by the amount of taxing and spending he commits, not by some smokescreen “taxbreaks” that are just a variant on the old shell game.

Real Republican pro-American presidents like Eisenhower knew the danger in melding two behemoths into what is now the military-industrial complex. Now we get Haliburtonized to death. Reagan held that “the gubmint is not the answer to the problem, it IS the problem”, and worked at taking federal intrusion out of one’s home. When Reagan kicked donkey in Granada and Libya, he went in with good well defined reasons. He got the job done, and had no need to claim “mission accomplished” when it was anything but over. His results spoke for themselves.

To my fellow anti-liberal friends who ask why I don’t support Bush and his regime, I ask in turn, why do you?
